Shalom,

Do you remember Proverbs 1:7 from yesterday? Just look at the post below as a reminder. Now read Proverbs 2:1-5:

1 MY SON, if you will receive My Words and treasure up My commandments within you, 2 Making your ear attentive to skillful land godly Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding [applying all your powers to the quest for it]; 3 Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, 5 Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God.

Many people try to find Scriptures in the Bible to stand on without realizing that it must be a lifestyle of fellowship with the One, True God (by the Spirit of God), along with meditation on the Word of God, in order to operate in the faith of God! We have the POTENTIAL for Wisdom and understanding, but it takes a diligence that I have not found very many people willing to apply! God's Word IS Truth, and it WILL work for those who understand how to work it! Growth in the things of God happens progressively, just like natural growth. Begin where you are at right now, and determine to not let a day go by that you don't learn something new about HIM! You will be blessed beyond measure! GUARANTEED!

Revelation 7 ended with praise to God for those who were saved out of the Tribulation. Revelation 8 begins with the opening of the seventh seal and one half hour of silence. The seven angels were given seven trumpets, but before the blowing of these trumpets, another angel offers up much incense along with the prayers of the saints. Everyone who has a saving faith in Jesus of Nazareth is a saint! Your prayers are vital to the plan of God in the earth! These prayers were offered up BEFORE the next step, which is God's judgment being poured out on the earth! Verse 6:

6 Then the seven angels who held the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

Four of the seven judgments are covered in this chapter and the rest in the next. This is NOT fantasy or allegory. It most definitely WILL take place on the earth! It is very sobering to read this and know that perhaps some of the people you are acquainted with will have to experience this. Let's make sure that IF they do, it will NOT be because we neglected to share the Gospel of God's saving grace with them! We should be more determined than ever that the enemy not win any! Amen! Here are some pictures I found that may be of interest to you!

We read Jeremiah 40-42 today. We see that Jeremiah was granted his freedom by Nebuzaradan, but he chose to stay in Jerusalem and minister to the people left there. The most important choice that you and I can make each day is to be where God wants us to be, doing what God wants us to do! It doesn't make any difference what is going on in the world, God will always provide for those who do things His way! As we continue reading through the Old Testament, we can learn so much about the effect of disobedience on our lives! We also see the ultimate effect of obedience! Obedience ALWAYS brings blessings, though not always immediate! Be determined that you will never quit or give up and you WILL reap God's richest and best (Galatians 6:9)!

Shalom in Him!
