I have always liked Hosea 6:3 from our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan for today! Here it is from the KJV:
3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
And then from the Amplified Bible:
3 Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord [to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him]. His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the [heavy] rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.
I LOVE that we are promised in the Word of God that we CAN know Him! He desires for us to know Him! He reveals Himself to us all through the Word of God, and Holy Spirit teaches us and makes Him known intimately! Make it YOUR 'determined purpose' (Philippians 3:10 AMPC) to REALLY know the Lord! Remember that "the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32).
