As Jesus was preparing His disciples for His departure from the earth, He said THIS to them in John 16:6-7:
6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [taken complete possession of them]. 7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
The entire plan of God for our eternal salvation was in place before He ever created Adam and Eve! He created mankind knowing that we would fail so that He could provide a salvation that the enemy could not stop and that would make us God's very own family! These things were all hidden so that the enemy could not know what was happening! Why? Because 1 Corinthians 2:8:
8 None of the rulers of this
age or world perceived and recognized and understood
this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
Our God IS GOD! The ONE and ONLY! He is wise beyond our understanding and He ALWAYS has His plan working. It is up to us to get with HIS program! AMEN! Jesus went on to explain to His disciples what this Comforter Who was coming would do! John 16:12-13:
12 I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now. 13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
Jesus was explaining these things even though His disciples could not yet understand and comprehend what He was actually saying! Once He rose from the dead and they believed on HIM and became those new creatures that had born again spirits, recreated in His image, THEN they had the ability to understand the Word of God. This was especially true once they had received the infilling of Holy Spirit, increasing their capacity to hear and see the Truth and to be taught by the TEACHER Himself! AMEN! Then Jesus left them with this from verse 33:
33 I have told you these
things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In
the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration;
but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I
have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have
conquered it for you.]
AMEN! Now it is our responsibility to continue walking our HIS glory here on earth, ever watching for His appearing! Soon and VERY SOON, we are going to see our KING! HALLELUJAH! Here is Hillsong UNITED with "Echoes (Til We See The Other Side)":
