As I've shared here many times before, I love the way in which Holy Spirit can make the Word that I am reading/studying with the Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan just come alive! It is SO time appropriate! Today's reading in Psalm 100 is an instruction and exhortation in the proper way to approach our wonderful heavenly Father!
Psalm 100
A Psalm of thanksgiving and for the thank offering.
1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! 3 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.
There should NEVER be a time, whether we are going through something or not, when we fail to enter His presence in this way! He IS our GOD! The answer to every question that we ask Him will ALWAYS be YES, when we ask for what the Word promises and with right motives! He has the asnwer to every question, the solution for every problem, the leading, guiding and directing that we so desperately need. HE is NOT holding back on us! He is more ready than we are to see us walking in health, wealth and prosperity, Wisdom and understanding, and the Favor and Anointing of he God of all the universe! AMEN!
