Shalom,

I really love our Spoken Word Church website devotional for today!
You will never leave where you are, until you decide where you would rather be. The day you make a decision about your life is the day your world will change.
Move decisively toward the goals you have established. Intolerance of your present situation creates your future.
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Over the years we have come across many 'teachings' that have very little basis in the Word of God! One of those is that whatever happens in our lives is God's plan for us, and NO ONE should ever question the "plan of God". After all, GOD IS IN CONTROL! That is SO not true! HE has given US the responsibility for our lives here on earth! HE has given us promises, TRUE facts about who we are (IN HIM), and many CHOICES in His Word! Then He leaves the choosing of our paths up to US! IF we choose HIM and HIS WILL, then, and ONLY then, will He get involved with our lives! We can have just as much, or just as little, of HIS influence in our lives as WE CHOOSE! What are YOU choosing today? Are you choosing to meditate, day and night, on the Word of His promises, so that they become REAL to us? As real as if we could actually see them with our eyes? Joshua 1:8, an OLD TESTAMENT/OLD COVENANT promise, says this:

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

GOD doesn't choose this. He has already spoken His thoughts on it, and then given it to US to obey, or not! As for me and my house, we CHOOSE JESUS! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with a very old song called "I Believe The Promise":

Shalom in Him!
