Shalom,

Proverbs 10 begins a new section of the book that continues through chapter 24. Here we have a series of "distichs" (two sentences in one verse). These compare the blessings of doing things God's way with the negative results of going against God's Word. Verse 9:

9 He who walks uprightly walks securely, but he who takes a crooked way shall be found out and punished.

Verse 11:

1 The mouth of the [uncompromisingly] righteous man is a well of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Verse 27:

27 The reverent and worshipful fear of the LORD prolongs one's days, but the years of the wicked shall be made short.

Verse 30:

30 The [consistently] righteous shall never be removed, but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth [eventually].

The book of Proverbs is filled with simple Wisdom that the born again believer can measure their lives by. The unbeliever may try to put these into practice, but they will not be able to consistently do so! As you continue reading these, check how your actions line up with Wisdom. Make adjustments where you need to and you will see increased blessings in every area! Amen!

Revelation 16 covers more of the wrath and judgment of Almighty God on a world that has rejected Him at every turn! Be blessed to know that as a believer in Jesus of Nazareth, you will only see these things from the safety of Heaven! Thank YOU, Lord Jesus!

We begin in Haggai today with chapters 1-2. God's people were instructed to go back and rebuild the Temple. They were putting it off and the LORD had this to say to them in verse 6-7:

6 You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but do not have your fill; you clothed yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it. 7 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared.

Then verse 9-10:

9 You looked for much [harvest], and behold, it came to little; and even when you brought that home, I blew it away. Why? says the Lord of hosts. Because of My house, which lies waste while you yourselves run each man to his own house [eager to build and adorn it]. 10 Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its produce.

When they realized that they were sinning against the One, True God by not building, they began to rebuild the Temple again! The older people who remembered it were sad because this newly rebuilt Temple wasn't even close to being as magnificent as the original one built by Solomon, The LORD encouraged them with this in verses Haggai 2:7-9:

7 And I will shake all nations and the desire and precious things of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. 9 The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place I will give peace and prosperity, says the Lord of hosts.

Everything that we see  happening in the world today is following God's divine timetable! Nothing has ever taken HIM by surprise! Trust in Him and stay in close, intimate fellowship with Him and you will be able to clearly hear His voice and be lead, guided and directed by Him into the abundance of LIFE that He desires for you (John 10:10 AMP)! Shalom in Him!
