Shalom,
Are you ready for some more healing Scriptures? Do you want to know what Jesus REALLY thinks about healing? Here is the WORD on it:
Matthew 4:23 (KJV)
23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Matthew 9:35 (KJV)
35And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity.
Luke 9:6 (KJV)
11And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
The word "healing" in this verse in Acts is the same Greek word, iaomai, which we find in 1 Peter 2:24, which means to cure, to heal, to make whole. The word "oppressed" is the Greek word, katadunasteuo, which means to exercise control over or to use one's power against. It is a compound word the root of which is the same as the word "power" in the first part of the verse, dunamai, which means to be able, to have power, to be capable, strong and powerful. Jesus was anointed by God with power to heal the sick and deliver them from the ability of the enemy to oppress them! The Amplified Bible says:
Acts 10:38 (Amplified)
38How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.
Do you understand that the devil has the "power" to deceive us into believing something contrary to God's Word. That means he has the ability to LIE to us and IF we believe his lies rather than the Truth of God's Word, then we give him the ability to devour us:
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
So don't BE one he may devour. Continue to find out what God's Word has to say about health and healing and the devil WILL NOT be able to devour you anymore!
Shalom in Him!
