Shalom,
In our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan for today we read Proverbs 3. Verses 1-2 really stand out to me!
3 My son, forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; 2 For length of days and years of a life [worth living] and tranquility [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these shall they add to you.The phrase "let keep" is the Hebrew word "nasar". Strong's Concordance says: to guard, protect, maintain, obey. The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament says of these verses: The discipline of Wisdom requires faithful observance. WE have the CHOICE to obey God's Word, and receive the BLESSINGS that comes with it! I pray that YOU will make it YOUR detemined purpose to dig deeper into the Word of God this next year than you ever have before! The OUTCOME will lead to YOUR uplifting! Here is Brooke Ligertwood with "Ancient Gates" because we have NOT outgrown them!
Shalom in Him!
