Today I am simply sharing some of my favorite portions from our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan! If you are meditaing on the Word as you study along with this plan, then you should be developing wuite a list of YOUR OWN favorite verses! Look at Psalm 104:1-5:
1 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! O
Lord my God, You are very great! You are clothed with honor and majesty— 2 [You are the One] Who covers Yourself with
light as with a garment, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain or a
tent, 3 Who lays the
beams of the upper room of His abode in the waters [above the firmament], Who
makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,
4 Who makes winds His messengers,
flames of fire His ministers. 5 You
laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.
HE is WORTHY of ALL praise and honor and glory because He IS Who HE says He is! I especially like that part of verse 4 where we see that GOD makes His ministers to be flames of fire! We are filled with His Spirit, filled with His Word and filled with His power! And then my favorite N.T. verse for today is this from James 1!
17 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
And the greatest instruction is found in verse 22:
22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
Amen! Give the greatest attention to the Word of God! Loving, reading, receiving and DOING it! Here is Hillsong with "Your Word":
