Shalom,

Psalm 36:1-4:

1 TRANSGRESSION [like an oracle] speaks to the wicked deep in his heart. There is no fear or dread of God before his eyes. 2 For he flatters and deceives himself in his own eyes that his iniquity will not be found out and be hated. 3 The words of his mouth are wrong and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good. 4 He plans wrongdoing on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject or despise evil.

Notice that the transgression, or sin, is what speaks to a wicked person (unbeliever) in his heart! A born again believer has the Spirit of God living on the inside, speaking to them! Not so the wicked! Sin speaks and they listen! Notice all of the choices that "he" has made! God didn't do this and the devil didn't even do this! The One, True God has created each of us with the right, and the responsibility, to choose the course of our own life! He even gives us the answer to the test (Deuteronomy 30:19)! We will all reap the results of pour choices! I hope YOU are making YOURS good ones!

2 Thessalonians 3:6 says this:

6 Now we charge you, brethren, in the Name and on the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) that you withdraw and keep away from every brother (fellow believer) who is slack in the performance of duty and is disorderly, living as a shirker and not walking in accord with the traditions and instructions that you have received from us.

"Withdraw" here is the Greek word "stello", which means: to bring together, gather up (used of furling sails), to shrink from a person or thing, withdraw elsewhere, avoiding. The idea of the "bringing together" and "furling the sails" means to gather yourself in and away from someone like this! Notice, also, that this is referring to "brothers"! That means other believers, who do not want to continue in the Word and in TRUE fellowship. We are to avoid spending much time in their company! IF they want help, we can be there for them with the Word of God. If not, we are to stay completely away from close fellowship! Failure to do this has hurt many believers in their own fellowship with the Lord. It does NOT mean to hate them or treat them badly. It simply means to stay away! Check your own life to see how YOU are obeying this instruction so that you can continue to walk in THE BLESSING! AMEN!

Amos is prophesying the future judgments on these cities and nations that have "NOT done right in the sight of the LORD"! Even the many things that the nation of Israel has had to endure, has been because of THEIR past choices and actions concerning the Word of the One, True God! But very serious WOE to those by whose hand the judgments have come! They are STILL God's chosen people and Land! Chosen BY Him and FOR His purposes! TOUCH NOT GOD'S ANOINTED (1 Chronicles 16:22; Psalm 105:15)! He has promises to bless those who bless Israel, and that those who curse Israel shall be cursed (Genesis 12:2-3)! Choose to do things God's Way! There is ALWAYS blessings in that!
