Shalom,

I want to cover one last thought, for now, concerning health and healing. Our attitude is so very important while we are making a stand of faith on God's Word concerning any of His promises. The verse we will look at first is found in the book of Proverbs:

Prov 17:22 (KJV)
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

The word "merry" is the Hebrew word, sameach, which means: blithe (happy & lighthearted) and gleeful, glad, joyful and rejoicing. "Doeth good" is the Hebrew word, yatab, that we have covered before on this blog. It means: to do well, to make a thing good or right or beautiful. The Amplified bible says this:

Proverbs 17:22 (Amplified)
22A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Maintaining a joyful, happy heart (our spirit, soul combination) will keep us in a faith frame of mind. You cannot discourage a joyful heart. It is impossible to do. Remember this verse:

Neh 8:10 (KJV)
10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

The Amplified Bible says this:

Nehemiah 8:10 (Amplified)
10Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.

The joy of the Lord (Jehovah) is our "strength", the Hebrew word, ma'owz, which means: a fortified place, a defence, a fortress, a place of safety, refuge and protection. Keeping a joyful heart will keep us in a place of refuge and protection while we wait for the manifestation of the Word of God in our lives. Remember that the Bible says this:

Prov 23:7 (KJV)
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

The attitude of our heart is vitally important to walking in all the fullness of what God has promised. The last two days in our Bible Plan we read Psalms 149 & 150:

Ps 149:1-6 (KJV)
1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

Ps 150:1-6 (KJV) 1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

So DO it! Praise Him and keep on praising Him! He alone is worthy of ALL glory and honor and praise! In so doing, you will keep your heart in a right attitude for your faith to produce and you will not grow weary standing!

Shalom in Him!
