Shalom,

Today's "My Utmost For His Highest" devotional by Oswald Chambers speak to a subject that has been on my heart for quite some time!

Heedfulness v. Hypocrisy In Ourselves

If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. — 1 John 5:16

If we are not heedful of the way the Spirit of God works in us, we will become spiritual hypocrites. We see where other folks are failing, and we turn our discernment into the gibe of criticism instead of into intercession on their behalf. The revelation is made to us not through the acuteness of our minds, but by the direct penetration of the Spirit of God, and if we are not heedful of the source of the revelation, we will become criticizing centres and forget that God says — “…he shall ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.” Take care lest you play the hypocrite by spending all your time trying to get others right before you worship God yourself.

One of the subtlest burdens God ever puts on us as saints is this burden of discernment concerning other souls. He reveals things in order that we may take the burden of these souls before Him and form the mind of Christ about them, and as we intercede on His line, God says He will give us “life for them that sin not unto death.” It is not that we bring God into touch with our minds, but that we rouse ourselves until God is able to convey His mind to us about the one for whom we intercede.

Is Jesus Christ seeing of the travail of His soul in us? He cannot unless we are so identified with Himself that we are roused up to get His view about the people for whom we pray. May we learn to intercede so whole-heartedly that Jesus Christ will be abundantly satisfied with us as intercessors.

AMEN! Make sure that you do NOT allow yourself to retain the 'right' to judge others for their mistakes and poor decisions! WE are NOT anyone's JUDGE! There  is only ONE, and we're NOT HIM! Instead, WE have beenn given the RIGHT to pray for others that their sins be forgiven them! Try this route before you EVER step into judgement! You will find that everything in life will go better for you when you do! THAT is doing what JESUS would do! Here is Hillsong with "Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)":

Shalom,

Today I want to share this from Jerry Savelle's website devotional!

Speak Your Salvation

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10 NKJV)

How do you take advantage of the fullness of salvation—deliverance, victory, healing, wholeness—that Jesus died to give you? By following the biblical pattern set forth in the tenth chapter of the book of Romans.

First, you believe in your heart that Jesus has given you His righteousness, and that God now sees you every bit as acceptable and holy as Jesus.

Second, you confess out loud the salvation that you have in Jesus, believing you receive it the moment you ask for it (see Mark 11:24).

Speaking your salvation doesn’t end with making the confession that Jesus is your Lord. The Bible says the person who “does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23). Whenever you have a specific need, you can find the scripture that pertains to your situation, and then make it a personal confession over your life.

Based on Colossians 1:13, you can confess, “I have been delivered from the power of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. I am free from the power of the devil and free from the power of sin.”

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, you can declare, “I am in Christ and have become a new person. Old things have passed away and I perceive clearly that all things have become new.”

Begin today to confess out loud your healing, wholeness, deliverance, and victory in Jesus, and enjoy walking in the fullness of the salvation He has already provided for you.

Confession: Having received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, I now reign in life through Christ Jesus. I use my faith and I walk in His grace. I walk in victory over every negative circumstance in my life.

AMEN! SPEAK your faith! SPEAK HIS promises! SPEAK HIS WORD and RECEIVE all that HE has provided for YOU! Here is Hillsong with "Say The Word", one of the most powerful songs!

Shalom,

Today I want to share Rick Renner's Sparkling Gems From The Greek - Volume 2.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety-nine just persons, which need no repentance. — Luke 15:7

The Bible tells us much about angels. It gives us different categories of angels and describes how they look, how they fly, what they do in the presence of God, their role in the earth today, and much more. By studying the Scriptures, it is easy to get an accurate perspective of what angels do both on earth and in Heaven. But today I want us to see the one unique thing that causes angels in Heaven to erupt in joy. What is this solitary act that triggers such a mighty angelic celebration?

With all the information about angels recorded in the Bible, there are only two verses — a total of 49 words in the King James Version — that implicitly describe an event that causes angels to stop what they’re doing and throw a celebration that is different from those they regularly experience in the worshipful atmosphere of Heaven. Both of these references are found in Luke 15, where Jesus gives the parable of a shepherd who found one of his sheep that had been lost.

In Luke 15:4-6, Jesus said, “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it. And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep that was lost.”

The Early Church believed this parable was a reference to Jesus Himself. Jesus left Heaven and, like the shepherd in the parable, came to earth to seek and to save that which was lost. The early Christians of the First and Second Centuries were so convinced this parable was about Jesus that they often used the image of a shepherd carrying a lamb across his shoulders as the graphic to depict Him. In ancient catacombs in Rome where early Christians once gathered to worship and pray, painted images of a shepherd carrying a lamb, representing Jesus, are still visible on the walls.

The Early Church saw Jesus as the Shepherd who left home and came to earth, found them lost in sin, and then lovingly redeemed them and brought them back into right relationship with God. And like the shepherd in the parable, after Jesus accomplished this awesome task, He returned home rejoicing.

According to the parable — if we believe that it represents Jesus, as the Early Church believed — when Jesus returned to Heaven, He invited all of Heaven to rejoice with Him because man, once lost, was now redeemed. From Jesus’ words in His parable, we assume that when He crossed the threshold of Heaven, He called out to the heavenly inhabitants and told them, “Rejoice with Me, for I have found My sheep that was lost!” (see Luke 15:6).

The words “rejoice with me” are a compound of the words sun and chairo. The word sun depicts something that is done in conjunction with someone else, while the word chairo means to be glad, to rejoice, to exult, to celebrate, or to express great joy. When they are compounded, the new word means to celebrate in conjunction with someone else or to greatly rejoice with other companions. This particular word is found only seven times in the New Testament, and one of them is here in Luke 15:6 where the shepherd calls on his friends to rejoice with him over the lost sheep that was found. It literally means rejoice with me, celebrate with me, or exult with me!

The finding of lost sheep was such a cause for rejoicing that Jesus called for all of Heaven to celebrate with Him! Just think how serious a man’s lost condition must be in order for Jesus to see it as a time to stop and throw a party whenever a sinner repents!

Jesus comprehends the great cost of a person’s redemption, for He paid for each soul with His own precious blood. So when a sinner repents, Jesus sees this as a time for Heaven to celebrate! He calls on all of Heaven’s inhabitants to celebrate every time a sinner is saved! Consider the profound miracle that transpires when a soul doomed to eternal destruction is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. It’s no wonder that Jesus wants all of Heaven to join with Him in throwing a celebration!

In Luke 15:7, Jesus continued, “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth.…” Some allege that the word “sinner” is too harsh, but it is the word Jesus used to characterize people without God. It is the old Greek word hamartolos, a word that has various possible renderings, but the basic meaning is an offender, a lawbreaker, one who is guilty of missing the mark, or a sinner.

The lost man has failed to meet the requirements of the righteous law of God and is therefore a lawbreaker or a sinner. If he doesn’t repent and receive Christ before he breathes his last breath, the penalty for dying in this lost state is eternal separation from God (see Romans 6:23).

You can see why there is such eruptive joy in Heaven when a sinner repents! The word translated “repent” in this verse is the word metanoeo (see also March 18 and 19 Gems). It is the picture of a person who hears the truth, realizes the life he has lived has broken God’s laws, and therefore makes up his mind that he will leave that old life and live for God according to His Word. The act of repentance and faith in Christ gives the lost person new birth and entrance into the Kingdom of God.

This is a huge happening! Luke 15:10 tells us, “…There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Why is this a cause for rejoicing? Because when a man is saved, his sins are removed, and he is washed in the blood of Jesus — in that moment, his nature is changed and his name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. That is an event the entire spirit realm recognizes, including mighty angels who stand in the very presence of God. They get so excited when this mightiest miracle of all takes place in the life of a human that they stop everything to take note of it and to celebrate!

I don’t know about you, but I am personally convicted by the lack of excitement I see in church when a sinner gets saved. People yawn and cover their mouth, as if it is just routine activity — when, in fact, it is the greatest miracle that can occur on planet earth! It is worth our shouting, yelling, and jumping up and down in joy, for there is no greater miracle than the new birth!

Angels live in the breathtaking presence of God and regularly see His wonders that are beyond our imagination. Yet they are so thrilled about a person who repents that they rejoice with great joy.

Maybe it’s time for us to revisit the subject of our salvation and relearn what great a miracle it is when a lost man is redeemed and quickened to spiritual life by the Holy Spirit. Since angels get excited about this, isn’t it time that we start appreciating it too?

I pray that your understanding has increased and that this study of Luke 15 has affected you in a meaningful way. Don’t let the devil steal these truths from your heart. Remember, God is always calling you higher. Make sure your heart is closely connected to Jesus’ heart. Rejoice greatly with Heaven the next time you witness someone repenting and becoming a new creation in Christ!

And if there’s anything that holds you back from your own forward progress in Him, it’s time for you to make up your mind turn from it and adjust your life to show that you are serious about making new gains in God. Your redemption was worth the highest price, Jesus’ own precious blood — so live every day like you esteem the treasure of your salvation more than all the riches this world could ever offer you!

AMEN! Let's be as thrilled with GOD and HIS PRESENCE as HE is to spen time with US! Here is  Hillsong with "Song For His Presence":

Shalom,

Today I want to share again from Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost For His Highest" devotional. This one is especially important to me!

Isn’t There Some Misunderstanding?

"Let us go to Judea again." The disciples said to Him, "…are You going there again?" —John 11:7-8

Just because I don’t understand what Jesus Christ says, I have no right to determine that He must be mistaken in what He says. That is a dangerous view, and it is never right to think that my obedience to God’s directive will bring dishonor to Jesus. The only thing that will bring dishonor is not obeying Him. To put my view of His honor ahead of what He is plainly guiding me to do is never right, even though it may come from a real desire to prevent Him from being put to an open shame. I know when the instructions have come from God because of their quiet persistence. But when I begin to weigh the pros and cons, and doubt and debate enter into my mind, I am bringing in an element that is not of God. This will only result in my concluding that His instructions to me were not right. Many of us are faithful to our ideas about Jesus Christ, but how many of us are faithful to Jesus Himself? Faithfulness to Jesus means that I must step out even when and where I can’t see anything (see Matthew 14:29). But faithfulness to my own ideas means that I first clear the way mentally. Faith, however, is not intellectual understanding; faith is a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when I can’t see the way ahead.

Are you debating whether you should take a step of faith in Jesus, or whether you should wait until you can clearly see how to do what He has asked? Simply obey Him with unrestrained joy. When He tells you something and you begin to debate, it is because you have a misunderstanding of what honors Him and what doesn’t. Are you faithful to Jesus, or faithful to your ideas about Him? Are you faithful to what He says, or are you trying to compromise His words with thoughts that never came from Him? “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5).

AMEN! I have had to LEARN to trust Holy Spirit, Who lives IN me, to lead, guide and direct me according to the Word and the Will of GOD! The more that we OBEY that still small voice and those quiet nudgings, the clearer His voice becomes and the more confidence we have that we Do hear and we DO know His voice! Practice HIS presence more every day and you will find yourself in that place! Here is Hillsong with You'll Come":

 Shalom,

Today I want to share from Kenneth and Gloria Copeland's "From Faith To Faith" devotional.

Turn Your Losses Around

But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass.... For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through...Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many. Romans 5:15, The Amplified Bible

If you’re ever on a losing streak and need someone to tell you how to turn things around, go to God. He’s an expert on the subject. He’s suffered more losses than anyone who’s ever lived.

Just think about it. He lost Lucifer, His top-ranked, most anointed angel. And when Lucifer fell, He lost at least a third of His other angels as well. Then He lost the man and woman He had created. And because He’d given them dominion over the earth, when He lost them, He lost it too. Any way you figure it, that’s a lot of real estate down the drain!

Yet, in spite of all that, God is no loserHe’s the greatest winner of all time. Do you know why? Because He knows how to turn the losses around. He knows how to use the law of giving and receiving to transform losses into gains.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over…” (Luke 6:38). That’s the powerful principle that breaks losing streaks.

Isn’t that staggering? He had every option that exists to choose from to redeem the things He’d lost. He had all wisdom and all power available to Him. Out of all that, the law of giving is what He chose to use.

He gave the most irreplaceable thing He had: His only Son. Then He backed that gift with His own faith. And when the law of giving and receiving had done its work, the Almighty Father God received not only His first-begotten Son, but millions of other sons as well.

Don’t despair over your losses. Redeem them the same way God redeemed His. Give and put the most powerful principle in the universe to work for you.

AMEN! Giving, in any and every area, has turned things around in my favor ALWAYS! We CANNOT outgive GOD! He won't allow it! HALLELUJAH! Here is Hillsong with "I Give You My Heart":

Be Strong

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. — EPHESIANS 6:10-11

What would you think if you saw a traffic policeman in front of a car, trying to hold it back? You’d think, He can’t do that. He’s no match for that car!

Some people read Ephesians 6:10 and think that the Lord is telling them to be strong in themselves. And they’re trying to be strong. They’ll say, “Oh, pray for me that I’ll hold out faithful to the end!” But God didn’t say a word about our being strong in ourselves or in the power of our might.

That traffic policeman steps right out in front of those cars and holds up his hand, because he knows they’re going to stop for him. He doesn’t have to exert any strength himself; he’s strong in the authority that’s been given to him.

That is what the Lord is telling us. He’s saying, “Be strong in the Lord. Be strong in the authority of His might. Just step out there in front of that oncoming devil. Hold up your hand in the Name of Jesus, and say, ‘Thus far, and no further! Stop right now!’”

Confession: I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I am invested with authority from the Lord Jesus Christ. When I hold up my hand in the Name of Jesus and say, “Thus far, and no further,” the devil stops in his tracks!

Today I want to share Jerry Savelle's devotional.

WILL YOU BE MADE WHOLE?

God wants you to be made whole in every area of your life: spirit, soul, body, financially.

In John 5:1-9, we read an account of a man who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. When Jesus approached him, He asked the man if he wanted to be made whole. I believe this tells us that just because someone has a sickness (in any area of life) doesn’t mean they are automatically really ready to be free.

Put another way, Jesus was asking, “Will you live above the beggarly elements of this world? Will you be redeemed? Will you be in health? Will you prosper? Will you be fruitful? Will you be blessed?”

It is your decision! Jesus is saying, “I have already made it available. What I want to know is, will you have it?”

Wholeness hinges on your decision.

God has been standing at the throne saying, “Come boldly and obtain all these gifts that I have for you. Will you be above and not beneath? Will you be the head and not the tail? Will you have abundant life? Will you have your household saved? Will you be what I have said in My Word that you can be? Will you have great success?”

What’s your decision? It depends on you.

Confession: I decide now that I will be made whole in every area of my life. Everything Jesus paid for on the cross to bring me freedom is mine today. I refuse to settle for anything less than God’s best.

AMEN! What will YOU decide today? Here is Hillsong with "Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)":

Decreasing Into His Purpose

He must increase, but I must decrease. — John 3:30

If you become a necessity to a soul, you are out of God’s order. As a worker, your great responsibility is to be a friend of the Bridegroom. When once you see a soul in sight of the claims of Jesus Christ, you know that your influence has been in the right direction, and instead of putting out a hand to prevent the throes, pray that they grow ten times stronger until there is no power on earth or in hell that can hold that soul away from Jesus Christ. Over and over again, we become amateur providences; we come in and prevent God, and say — “This and that must not be.” Instead of proving friends of the Bridegroom, we put our sympathy in the way, and the soul will one day say — “That one was a thief, he stole my affections from Jesus, and I lost my vision of Him.”

Beware of rejoicing with a soul in the wrong thing, but see that you do rejoice in the right thing. “The friend of the Bridegroom…rejoiceth greatly because of the Bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease.” This is spoken with joy and not with sadness — at last they are to see the Bridegroom! And John says this is his joy. It is the absolute effacement of the worker, he is never thought of again.

Watch for all you are worth until you hear the Bridegroom’s voice in the life of another. Never mind what havoc it brings, what upsets, what crumblings of health, rejoice with divine hilarity when once His voice is heard. You may often see Jesus Christ wreck a life before He saves it. (Cf. Matthew 10:34.)

Power to Utterly Destroy Diseases

God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty . . . that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:27, 29

For many people, it is the very simplicity of the holy Communion that makes it so hard for them to believe it can be effective. All they can see is a small piece of bread and a little cup of juice. They cannot imagine how something so seemingly insignificant, small, and weak can drive out disease or cause them to live a long life.

When we dismiss the Communion elements for those reasons, we are forgetting the way God works. The Bible says God chooses the weak things of the world to put to shame the strong. Time and again, we see how God defeated the enemies of the children of Israel not through military might but through seemingly insignificant things.

God used a sling and a stone in the hand of a young shepherd boy to bring down Goliath, the mighty champion of the Philistine army (1 Samuel 17:38–51). He used a hammer and a tent peg in the hands of a defenseless woman to destroy Sisera, the ruthless Canaanite military commander who had oppressed the children of Israel for twenty years (Judges 4:3–22). He used the jawbone of a donkey in the hand of Samson—one man—to slay a thousand Philistines (Judges 15:15–16).

It’s interesting that when a Gentile woman came to the Lord Jesus seeking healing for her severely demonized daughter, He referred to healing as “the children’s bread.” Do you know what the woman said to Him?

“Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Jesus then said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And that very hour, her daughter was healed (Matthew 15:22–28).

What do you think the children’s bread that is laid on the “masters’ table” is a shadow of? The holy Communion!

You and I sit at the Master’s table because we are sons and daughters of the Most High God, and we partake freely of the Lord’s Supper. If the seemingly insignificant “crumbs” that fell from the table could heal the woman’s child, how much more healing and life we shall receive when we have the substance of the holy Communion!

AMEN!!! Dare to BELIEVE and to RECEIVE all that God has provided for us by and through the BLOOD of JESUS! Here are Hillsong Kids with "My Hallelujah":

Shalom,

We read Romans 8 in today's Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan. Verse 1 says this:

Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

Notice the portion of this verse that is in italics. THAT means that these words are NOT in the original text, but were added by the translators to give what they thought was clarity to the verse. Not take those words off and you get the TRUTH of God's WORD!

Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.

There is now NO condemnation to those who are IN CHRIST JESUS! Why? Because JESUS took that condemnation upon Himelf when He BECAME SIN with OUR SIN and paid the penalty of that sin FOR US! Our new TRUTH is found in the next two verses.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. 3 For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice]

AMEN! HALLELUJAH! WE are FREE FOREVER from the penalty and condemnation of sin! Our TRUTH? Verses 37-39:

37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Celebrate HIS victory today and every day and LIVE, TRULY LIVE, in the FREEDOM of this TRUTH! Here is Hillsong with an older song called "The Freedom We Know":

Shalom,

Today we read Psalm 79 in our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan. Here is that Psalm!

Psalm 79
A Psalm of Asaph.

1 O God, the nations have come into [the land of Your people] Your inheritance; Your sacred temple have they defiled; they have made Jerusalem heaps of ruins.

2 The dead bodies of Your servants they have given as food to the birds of the heavens, the flesh of Your saints to the beasts of the earth.

3 Their blood they have poured out like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them.

4 [Because of such humiliation] we have become a taunt and reproach to our neighbors, a mocking and derision to those who are round about us.

5 How long, O Lord? Will You be angry forever? Shall Your jealousy [which cannot endure a divided allegiance] burn like fire?

6 Pour out Your wrath on the Gentile nations who do not acknowledge You, and upon the kingdoms that do not call on Your name.

7 For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling and his pasture.

8 O do not [earnestly] remember against us the iniquities and guilt of our forefathers! Let Your compassion and tender mercy speedily come to meet us, for we are brought very low.

9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name! Deliver us, forgive us, and purge away our sins for Your name’s sake.

10 Why should the Gentile nations say, Where is their God? Let vengeance for the blood of Your servants which is poured out be known among the nations in our sight [not delaying until some future generation].

11 Let the groaning and sighing of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power and Your arm spare those who are appointed to die!

12 And return into the bosom of our neighbors sevenfold the taunts with which they have taunted and scoffed at You, O Lord!

13 Then we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; we will show forth and publish Your praise from generation to generation.

Our GOD has always had wonderful plans for His people ISRAEL and for US who are the CHURCH!  I hope that you will seek after JESUS with everything that is within you! Shalom,

Today I want to share this devotional from Andrew Womack:

Rest In His Love

John 5:16, 'And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him because he had done these things on the sabbath day.' JOHN 5:16-27

The Sabbath was first mentioned in Scripture in Exodus 16, when the Lord started miraculously providing the children of Israel with manna in the wilderness. The Israelites were commanded to gather twice as much manna on the sixth day because God would not provide any on the seventh day. Shortly after this, the Lord commanded the observance of the Sabbath day in the ten commandments that were communicated to Moses on Mt. Sinai on the two tablets of stone (Exodus 20:8-11). In this command, God connected this Sabbath day with the rest that He took on the seventh day of creation.

As revealed in Colossians 2:16-17, the Sabbath was symbolic. According to Exodus 23:12, one of the purposes of the Sabbath was to give man and his animals one day of physical rest each week. Today's medical science has proven that our bodies need at least one day of rest each week to function at our peak. Deuteronomy 5:15, also clearly states that the Sabbath was to serve as a reminder to the Jews that they had been slaves in Egypt and were delivered from bondage, not by their own efforts, but by the supernatural power of God. However, in the New Testament, there is an even clearer purpose of the Sabbath stated. In Colossians 2:16-17, Paul reveals that the Sabbath was only a shadow of things to come and is now fulfilled in Christ. Hebrews 4:1-11, talks about a Sabbath rest that is available to, but not necessarily functional in, all New Testament believers. This New Testament Sabbath rest is simply a relationship with God in which we have ceased from doing things by our own efforts and are letting God work through us (Galatians 2:20; Hebrews 4:10).

The Sabbath is not a day, but rather a relationship with God through Jesus. Rest in His love and let Him use you today.

Shalom,

Today I want to share again from Kenneth E. Hagin's "Faith Food" devotional. I shared Step 1 for receiving from God. I hope that you have read Steps 2 and 3! These are vital for receiviing everything that we need from our Father! Here is Step 4!

Step 4: Tell It

O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. — PSALM 105:1-2

Step 4: Tell it. This woman, “. . . knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth” (Mark 5:33). Not only did Jesus hear her, but the whole crowd heard her. Jesus said to me concerning this step, “Tell it so that others may believe it and receive it.”

There is a difference between this step and the first step. The first is, Say it. This fourth step is Tell it.

The woman said what she believed. Then, after she received, she told what had happened to her.

1. Say it.
2. Do it.
3. Receive it.
4. Tell it.

I asked Jesus, when He gave me these steps, “Are You telling me that any believer, anywhere, can write a ticket of victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil?”

“Emphatically, yes,” Jesus answered. “And if they don’t do it, it won’t be done. They’ll be wasting their time to pray that I will give them the victory. They’ll have to write their own ticket.”

Confession: I give thanks unto the Lord. I make known His deeds among the people. I sing unto Him. I sing psalms unto Him. I talk of all His wondrous works!

Shalom,

Today I want to share a post from Dutch Sheets from 2021 about St. Patrick's Day

☘️ HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY ☘️
And HERE is why I am sharing 3 leaf clovers!
Saint Patrick

A few years ago, I treated my daughters to a trip to Ireland. I’ve ministered there with my dear friends, the Sambrooks, and love that beautiful land, as do my daughters. They spent 7 days driving through the countryside and the city streets, acquainting themselves with the foods, folklore, and beauty of Ireland. They had a lot of fun driving on the left side of the road and immersing themselves in the life of this enchanting land. The two of them loved being there and even today, feel they have a deep connection to this captivating country.

Growing up, I knew nothing of the true meaning of St. Patrick’s Day other than it was associated with Ireland. St. Patrick was a fifth-century Christian missionary and bishop and is widely considered the founder of Christianity in Ireland. Legend credits Patrick with teaching the Irish about the doctrine of the Holy Trinity using the shamrock, a small three-leafed plant, as an example to illustrate the Holy Trinity. The shamrock has since become a symbol for St. Patrick’s Day.1 This day meant to celebrate a man of holiness and sacrifice has sadly been turned into a day for partying and drunkenness. My friend Jacquie Tyre shares the following thoughts and insights regarding Saint Patrick.

“I have been considering the parallels between the days in which we live and the times of Saint Patrick. In many ways, they are vastly different. However, there are growing similarities, especially regarding the dark, pagan, barbaric culture rising in our day.

“Patrick lived in an age when marauding parties would pillage the land and take captive the young and strong, while destroying the weak and vulnerable. At age 16, Patrick was taken captive by one of those bands of raiders and spent the next several years as a slave on the hills of Ireland, tending his master’s flocks during the inclement and often brutal weather of the Irish hillsides. By his own admission, even though raised in a home of spiritual leaders and the comfort of a nobleman’s home, he neither knew God nor feared Him. Yet, in the place of danger, captivity, and isolation, Patrick encountered God and came to know Him through much prayer, sometimes throughout the night.

“Years later, Patrick was supernaturally delivered from captivity and eventually returned to his homeland. Once home, the Lord called Patrick to return to the land of his captivity, carrying the love of Christ to his former captors. He did so in hopes of bringing them into the life he had found in Christ.

“In his season of preparation leading up to the incredible impact he had on Ireland, Patrick endured suffering, dangers, loss, trauma, rejection, accusations, betrayals, delays, denials, and persecutions. Through it all, he rejected bitterness and anger, allowing Holy Spirit to use every difficult situation to fashion him into an instrument worthy of the Master’s use.

“Once Patrick returned to Ireland, God used him mightily to set spiritual captives free amid a dark, pagan, and barbaric culture. His was a life of absolute consecration to the Lord. Patrick had come to know who God was, and by His grace became, not just a believer, but a disciple – a matured, radical, servant, and devoted minister of the Gospel.

“Patrick and the early Celtic Christians, following in the steps of the first-century church, lived lives fully surrendered and consecrated, set apart for the purposes of the Lord. They allowed the work of Holy Spirit to bring them to a place of death to self, fully manifesting the life of Christ. His life in them was truly their life (Galatians 2:20). Therefore, fear had no grip on them; nor did self-preservation, self-promotion, self-defense, self-satisfaction, self-exaltation, or any other self-centered motivation. They denied self and became carriers and conduits of the presence and glory of Christ.

“The Celts were people of worship and intercession, opening the way for heaven to invade earth. Through them, God’s glory impacted nations revealing the presence and power of Holy Spirit, and advancing the culture of His Kingdom. They discipled, trained, equipped, empowered, and sent mature believers to take the love of Christ to the world with signs, wonders, and miracles. As true disciples, they produced disciples. The culture of their day was radically transformed by the power of God working in and through them.

“We should not romanticize the life they lived, minimize the price they paid, or forget the dangers they faced as they followed Christ in the barbaric, pagan culture of their day. We, too, are called to minister the transforming love of Christ to an increasingly godless and pagan culture. Like Patrick, we must know who Christ is, who He has created us to be, and determine that we will allow Holy Spirit to mature us through every situation. We must trust that He who is in us is greater than those who are in the world, whether they be natural or spiritual enemies.

“Saint Patrick was used by God to radically touch lives and impact the world for generations, by conforming to Christ’s nature. His brokenness produced a capacity to birth multiplication and transformative power. Today, in a world seeking to put out the fires of Christ and His Church, we too, must determine that we will keep the fires of purity, passion, and power burning in our hearts. We must fan the flames of revival personally and corporately!

“It is often said that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. However, repeating some portions of history is a blessing. There is much to learn and emulate from great women and men of the past. Saint Patrick is one of them. God wants to pour out His Spirit and glory again and again. Though some methods change, His nature does not. Let’s seek Him for a new era of glory-awakening that can be seen as a wonderful repeat of history!”

As you may wear green today and think of the shamrock, remember the man for whom we celebrate this day, Saint Patrick.

In the words of Paul Harvey: And now you know the rest of the story.

Pray with me:

Father, thank you for the stories and legacies of all the mighty men and women that have gone before us, men and women who were history makers, bringing the Gospel of the Kingdom into the earth in power. Thank you for those, like Saint Patrick, whose lives provide us with countless examples of how You can, and do, work through adversity and to bring forth Your purposes.
Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have operated in self-motivated behaviors and choices. Forgive us for when we have failed to embrace Your grace to learn, grow, and mature through whatever circumstances we face. Far too often, Lord, we have chosen anger, resentment, bitterness, defeat, hopelessness and agitation. At times we’ve embraced an identity of victimhood, rather than allowing Your grace to work in and through us for Your Kingdom purposes.

Lord, ignite within us as Your people, a holy fire of consecration, with the boldness and tenacity to go and do Your will regardless of what it requires. Enable us to impact our world with the purity, passion, and power of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Loose holy boldness through Your people to ignite fires of revival and awakening in the midst of a dark world that is increasingly pagan, and being held captive to the perversions and debaucheries of this age. As believers of previous ages overcame the evil rule of their day boldly proclaiming Christ with signs, wonders and miracles, empower us to do the same. As they saw radical transformations of individuals and entire regions, we ask You to let it be again in our day!
Lord, make us carriers and conduits of Your love, grace, and glory, and use us to be History Makers who advance Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Decree:

We decree that God is raising up a company of radical disciples who are igniting fires of awakening all across our land.

AMEN! I hope this added to your understanding and enjoyment of this day! Here are Hillsong Kids with another favorite song of mine called "As The World Shakes"

Shalom,

I was really blessed by today's "Daily Grace Inspirations" devotional from Joseph Prince's website!

How to Increase in God’s Unmerited Favor

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1–2

God’s word tells us that “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52).

This is a good verse to pray and speak over your children—that they first increase in favor with God and then in favor with man. Your “vertical relationship” with God should always be given priority over your “horizontal relationship” with the people around you.

Like Jesus, you can increase in wisdom and in God’s unmerited favor. How?

You have probably noticed that some believers seem to experience a lot more unmerited favor than others. I believe that this is because these believers understand the key to accessing God’s favor.

Romans 5:2 clearly spells out that “we have access by faith into this grace [unmerited favor] in which we stand.”

To gain access to your computer or your bank account, you need a password. To gain access to and increase in God’s unmerited favor, the “password” or key that we need to have is faith, faith to believe that YOU, _______________ (insert your name), are highly favored!

One of the things that I have taught my church members to do is to declare over themselves that they are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved.

“How do we know that we are greatly blessed, Pastor Prince?”

Read Hebrews 6:13–14 for yourself. God wanted us to be so anchored in the sure and steadfast knowledge that He will bless us, the seed of Abraham, that He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

“How can we say that we are highly favored?”

Ephesians 1:6 tells us that by God's grace (unmerited favor), God “made us accepted in the Beloved.” In the original Greek text, the word “accepted” is the word charitoo, which means “highly favored.”

“And are we really deeply loved by God?”

God didn't just love us. John 3:16 says that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” He demonstrated how He SO loved us when He sent Jesus to die on the cross for us.

I pray that the verses I have shown you here will help you believe that through Jesus, you are indeed greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved. If these truths are still not established in your heart, start speaking them.

Look at yourself in the mirror every morning and declare boldly, “Because of Jesus’ perfect work on the cross, I am righteous by His blood, and I am greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved! I expect good things to come my way. I expect good success and I have a confident expectation of good!”

Once you receive Christ, you are standing on favor ground. You are no longer on condemnation ground. God looks on you as His favorite child!

“But Pastor Prince, how can God have so many favorites?”

Hey, He is God. Don't try to limit an infinite God with your finite mind.

The Bible tells us that God counts the very hairs on each of our heads (Matthew 10:30). I love my daughter very much, but I have never counted the number of strands of hair on her head.

His love for each of us is intimate and deeply personal. In His eyes, we are all His favorites!

THIS is how the Lord our God desires for us to think, speak and act! Just like His WORD is TRUTH! Because it IS! HALLELUJAH! Here is Hillsong with "All This Future":

Shalom,

Today I want to share agin from Kenneth E. Hagin's "Faith Food" devotional. This teaching is the first of four days, and four steps, to receiving from God!

Step 1: Say It

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. . . . And he [Jesus] said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. — MARK 5:28,29,34

The Lord Jesus Christ gave me a sermon during a vision in 1953. He told me to get pencil and paper and to write down 1, 2, 3, 4. Then He said, “If anyone, everywhere, will take these four steps, or put these four principles into operation, they will always receive whatever they want from Me, or from God the Father.”

The steps Jesus gave me are simple. They are (1) Say it; (2) Do it; (3) Receive it; and (4) Tell it. Jesus used the healing of the woman with the issue of blood to illustrate these four steps.

Step 1: Say it. What was the woman’s first step toward being healed? “For she SAID . . . .” Jesus told me, “Positive or negative, according to what the individual says, that shall he receive. This woman could have made a negative statement instead of a positive one. She could have said, ‘There’s no use. I’ve suffered so long. All the best doctors have given up on my case. I might as well go ahead and die.’ And that would have been what she received. But she made a positive statement — and it came to pass.”

What this woman said was her faith speaking.

Confession: I have what I say. I speak positively — and I receive accordingly. What I say is my faith speaking. And what I say makes me whole.

AMEN! We must SAY the WORD in order to walk in the promises of the Word! Don't 'memorize' the Word of God. FEED on the Word of God as your 'necessary food' and you will find the results extraordinary! Here is Hillsong with a song that I have used a lot, because it is POWERFUL TRUTH!  "Say The Word":

Talk About Your Excitement

Enthusiasm fuels excitement. Your energy will attract others to your dreams and goals. Thought and talk magnify everything.

Enthusiasm is the only climate where seeds of success will grow. If you want others to get involved in your dreams and goals, you must exude an aura of excitement.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” {Proverbs 18:21}

Hurting people are all around us and they are searching for something or someone who can show them something better! It we are not excited about life and enthusdiastic about JESUS, we give them nothing to grab ahold of! Let's ramp up our love and enthusiasm for the things of God and for the His plans and purposes! Remember, HE is ALWAYS for us and He desires to use US to tell the world that TRUTH! Here are Hillsong Kids with "Voices of Freedom":

Shalom,

Today's "My Utmost For His  Highest" by Oswald Chambers is one that I have meditated on many times and am convinced that this is an extremely vital Truth that every born again believer must be aware of for their own lives!

The Abandonment Of God

God so loved the world that He gave…. — John 3:16

Salvation is not merely deliverance from sin, nor the experience of personal holiness; the salvation of God is deliverance out of self entirely into union with Himself. My experiential knowledge of salvation will be along the line of deliverance from sin and of personal holiness; but salvation means that the Spirit of God has brought me into touch with God’s personality, and I am thrilled with something infinitely greater than myself, I am caught up into the abandonment of God.

To say that we are called to preach holiness or sanctification, is to get into a side eddy. We are called to proclaim Jesus Christ. The fact that He saves from sin and makes us holy is part of the effect of the wonderful abandonment of God.

Abandonment never produces the consciousness of its own effort, because the whole life is taken up with the One to Whom we abandon. Beware of talking about abandonment if you know nothing about it, and you will never know anything about it until you have realized that John 3:16 means that God gave Himself absolutely. In our abandonment we give ourselves over to God just as God gave Himself for us, without any calculation. The consequence of abandonment never enters into our outlook because our life is taken up with Him.

AMEN! Let's not cheat ourselves out of ALL that JESUS gave His life for! There is SO MUCH MORE that is available to us in our intimate fellowship with HIM than we have dared to TRULY believe and walk in! Here is one of my favorite songs by Hillsong called "Every Breath":

Shalom,

Today I want to share again from Kenneth E. Hagin's "Faith Food" devotional. This one is a psalm that Holy Spirit gave to him!

A Psalm

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs . . . . — COLOSSIANS 3:16

Here is the psalm the Holy Spirit gave me on the subject of words.

Words seem so insignificant and small
that men oft times take no note of them at all.

But words spoken in faith, create realities . . .
So rise up and speak, like the Creator of the universe,
Who, in faith, said, LET THERE BE — and THERE WAS.

Words — you speak them all the time,
filled with negativism and defeat,
Those words create defeat, and make you
unsuccessful, unhealthy, and unwise.

But Words given by God, inspired by His Spirit,
called by men, the Holy Writ,

These words heard with the ear of faith,
And spoken out of a heart filled with faith,
Will create in your life, and your family’s too,
Success and victory; health and healing;
Circumstances and darkness and troubles too,
will run away from you.

Filled with His Word, inspired by His Spirit,
Make your tongue do its duty.
See to it that you speak only truth . . .
His Word is truth.

Speak words of faith and love; words that are true,
And no longer will spiritual realities unto you,
seem unreal and far away.

But all of the blessings of life;
spiritual, material, physical, and financial too,
Will come to make their abode with you.

YOUR words are very powerful! When YOU speak GOD'S Word, you give HIM something to work with! He confirms His Word with signs, wonders and miracles! Check out Mark 16:20! Here is Hillsong with "Say The Word" again because it is SO powerful! The song AND HIS WORD! :

God Takes Pleasure In Meeting Our Needs

Matthew 7:11 'If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?'

What kind of parent would ever deny their children, the necessities of life? If you have children would you fail to feed them? Or provide for them? Or if they ask you for food would you give them poison instead? Of, course not. This is the point Jesus is making.

God is love (1 John 4:8)! And His love for us is infinitely greater than any loving relationship here on earth. We can apply this truth about God's love for us to any command or example we find in God's Word where His standards for relationship are revealed. Be assured that He will much more than meet those standards Himself.

This gives us confidence that, in the same way we respond in love to our children and to those who are in need, our God, who is love, will also respond to us. God is a faithful God, and He will always give us the things that we need.

Today, let the Lord be magnified in your life as Psalm 35:27 says, 'Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.' It pleases God to minister to you. Let God have pleasure today by meeting your needs. You have not, because you ask not (James 4:2). God wants you to ask so that you can receive (John 16:24). Believe God. He gets pleasure when you ask Him.

AMEN! Let's learn to be pleasing to GOD by receiving all that He has provided for us through all that JESUS accomplished on earth and on the cross! Here is Hillsong with "At The Cross":

Shalom in Him!

Shalom,

Today I want to share from Kenneth and Gloria Copeland's devotional "From Faith To Faith".

Watch Your Language

In a multitude of words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent. Proverbs 10:19, The Amplified Bible

We believers need to start watching our language! We need to quit throwing words around like they weren't important and start using them like our lives depended on it--because, according to the Word of God, they do! (Proverbs 18:21).

Too many of us have what Proverbs 19:1 calls a perverted mouth. Having a perverted mouth means more than lying and using profanity. It means having a disobedient mouth. It means saying things that are out of line with the Word of God.

All of us have done that at one time or another. We'll say, for instance, that we're believing God for our healing and then we'll turn right around to someone and make a statement like, "This pain is about to kill me!"

That's perverted! It's backwards from what God's Word says.

"Oh well, Brother Copeland, I know I said that, but it's not really what I meant."

Listen, the world of the spirit doesn't operate on what you mean. It operates on what you say. Mark 11:23 tells us that "whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

Take note. That verse didn't say you shall have whatsoever you mean. It says you'll have what you say. It's what you say that counts.

Now, I'm not suggesting you should be tied up in knots all the time worrying about what your next phrase might be. Just use the wisdom God has given you. Train your mouth to be obedient to His Word. Then, when you need it most, you'll find that Word dwelling richly in you.

AMEN! Train your mouth to speak the WORD of GOD over every situation! THEN you will see GOD'S results instead of the enemy's! Here is Hillsong with "Say The Word":

Shalom,

Today I have to share THIS from Joseph Prince's "Daily Grace Inspirations" devotional from his website!

How to Live Fearlessly

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Psalm 91:5–6

I love how Psalm 91 reminds us that we have round-the-clock protection.

Whether it is at night or in the day. Whether it is in darkness or at noonday. Whether we are faced with a terror or confronted by arrows. Whether pestilences threaten or destruction looms. We do not have to be afraid because our God, who watches over us, neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3–4)!

The reality is, the world we live in seems to be engulfed in negative news and fear. We often hear reports of senseless terrorist attacks on innocent civilians, horrific accidents claiming multiple victims, or an epidemic affecting entire communities, leading to hundreds of babies being born with deformities. I know that many can’t help but dread that the same tragedies could befall them.

But beloved, I want you to know that in the midst of all that is happening in the world, you can be fearless, and this comes from knowing the Lord as the God of peace.

Romans chapter 15 ends with the apostle Paul saying, “Now the God of peace be with you all” (Romans 15:33). You might ask, Isn’t God with us all the time? Why then did Paul specifically say, “The God of peace be with you all”?

What Paul was speaking over the people was for God to manifest Himself as the God of peace in their lives. In other words, even though God is always with us, we may not always experience Him as the God of peace.

Do you know what happens when God manifests Himself as the God of peace in your life? Romans 16:20 tells us this: “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”

Do you see what the God of peace will do in your life? He will crush every fear, every worry, and every anxiety!

Do you see grace in that verse as well? Grace—the undeserved, unearned, and unmerited favor of God—is the only thing against which the devil has no defense.

That is why we put our faith in the blood of Jesus when we talk about protection. His sinless blood was shed to pay the price for the guilty one.

And because Jesus paid the price, we who are in Him have a right to walk in divine health and protection. Grace qualifies us for God’s all-encompassing protection. Amen!

HALLELUJAH! What a powerful TRUTH this is! Renew your mind daily with this reminder! The spirit of fear will flee in the face of such powerful TRUTHS! This makes me think of one of my favorite new songs from Hillsong UNITED called "Deeper Water":

Shalom,

I LOVE today's "My Utmost For His Highest" by Oswald Chambers! THIS is SO clear and purely TRUTH!!!

The Relinquished Life

I am crucified with Christ. — Galatians 2:20

No one is ever united with Jesus Christ until he is willing to relinquish not sin only, but his whole way of looking at things. To be born from above of the Spirit of God means that we must let go before we lay hold, and in the first stages it is the relinquishing of all pretence. What Our Lord wants us to present to Him is not goodness, nor honesty, nor endeavour, but real solid sin; that is all He can take from us. And what does He give in exchange for our sin? Real solid righteousness. But we must relinquish all pretence of being any thing, all claim of being worthy of God’s consideration.

Then the Spirit of God will show us what further there is to relinquish. There will have to be the relinquishing of my claim to my right to myself in every phase. Am I willing to relinquish my hold on all I possess, my hold on my affections, and on everything, and to be identified with the death of Jesus Christ?

There is always a sharp painful disillusionment to go through before we do relinquish. When a man really sees himself as the Lord sees him, it is not the abominable sins of the flesh that shock him, but the awful nature of the pride of his own heart against Jesus Christ. When he sees himself in the light of the Lord, the shame and the horror and the desperate conviction come home.

If you are up against the question of relinquishing, go through the crisis, relinquish all, and God will make you fit for all that He requires of you.

The TRUTH is that WE have NOTHING to bring to the LORD but our reliquishing of everything we THINK is of value to lay hold of what HE has done IN us and FOR us! ANYTHING good in me is of JESUS!!! We already know that our own 'righteousness' is as filthy rags in the sight of the great GOODNESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD! BUT, JESUS has become as one of us so that WE can become as HE is in the world! It is HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS! HIS WISDOM! HIS GOODNESS! HIS LOVE! EVERYTHING good about us is HIM! HALLELUJAH! I LOVE this song by Hillsong because without JESUS, we are truly as NOTHING! "Search My Heart":

Shalom,

Mark 10:6-9 says this:

6 But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female. 7 For this reason a man shall leave [behind] his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and cleave closely to her permanently, 8 And the two shall become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has united (joined together), let not man separate or divide.

FROM THE BEGINNING ---- GOD! God planned, God purposed, God carried out His supernatural Plan of Redemption! FOR US! Because HE created us, HE has the right to define what our lives are supposed to look like! Make sure that YOU are staying on the 'same page' with our GOOD, GOOD, GOD! FROM the beginning, GOD planned for every person to be either a manle or a female! He did NOT leave that choice up to us! It is ALL in the DNA! That's SCIENCE! Shalom,

I LOVE today's Grace Inspirations devotional from Joseph Prince's website!

God Can Turn Your Evil Day into Good Days

Rest from their enemies . . . sorrow to joy . . . mourning to a holiday. Esther 9:22

Today, many Jews still celebrate the feast of Purim. The name Purim is derived from “the lot” which a Gentile, Haman, cast concerning the fate of the Jews when they were in Persia under King Ahasuerus.

Haman, the villain in this story in the book of Esther, hated the Jews and sought to exterminate them. He got King Ahasuerus to allow him to issue a decree to annihilate all the Jews in one day—the thirteenth day of the twelfth month of Adar. But God used Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai, both Jews, to turn the tables on Haman and save the Jews.

Haman was hanged on the very gallows that he had constructed for Mordecai! Then, the king allowed Queen Esther and Mordecai to issue a counter-decree to allow all the Jews to defend themselves and destroy their enemies in one day—the thirteenth day of the twelfth month of Adar!

So instead of the Jews being exterminated on that fateful day, their enemies were destroyed! God turned an evil day for the Jews into good days. He turned their mourning into rejoicing and gave them victory over their enemies.

My friend, God can do the same for you today. He only wants you to remain in your position of rest in Christ. You see, because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross, you are seated in heavenly places in Christ, far above every principality and evil assault the devil can throw at you (Ephesians 2:6).

Just as Mordecai sat within the king’s gate and refused to stand up and bow to Haman, let’s not “bow” to the devil by being persuaded to move from our position of rest in Christ. Don’t allow him to get you worried, frantic, and doing things to save yourself.

Queen Esther was also in a position of rest before Haman was executed (Esther 7). She was seated on a couch as Haman pleaded with her for his life. While doing so, he accidentally fell over the couch where the queen was. The king, thinking that Haman was assaulting his queen, sent him to the gallows!

Beloved, remain at rest in Christ’s finished work, and He will turn your evil day into days of rejoicing and feasting!

AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "Not Today":
