Today we read in 1 John 3 through our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan. I really love verses 1-2 in the Amplified Bible!
3 See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him. 2 Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is.
I love "what an incredible quality of love the Father has given us"! Do you remember that 1 Corinthians 13:8 tell us that love NEVER fails? Well the love that never fails is THIS incredible love that HE has bestowed on US! His LOVE never fails to protect us, provide for us, lead, guide and direct us WHEN we align ourselves with HIM! We will never understand the extent of this great LOVE for us, and what this love has done IN us, until we see JESUS face to face. But we CAN know that He never fails.
