Shalom,

In Mark 16:15-18 today, we see this admonition from JESUS to His disciples:
15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. 16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned. 17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.

We also see what results they had when they went about in obedience to JESUS! Verse 20:

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).

What we see is that when we do what JESUS did, then we give Him something to work with to show that HIS BODY is still active upon the earth! We ARE the Body of Christ the Messiah! I found that today's "My Utmost For His Highest" by Oswald Chambers for today goes right along with this.

The Missionary Watching

Watch with Me. — Matthew 26:40

“Watch with Me” — with no private point of view of your own at all, but watch entirely with Me. In the early stages we do not watch with Jesus, we watch for Him. We do not watch with Him through the revelation of the Bible; in the circumstances of our lives. Our Lord is trying to introduce us to identification with Himself in a particular Gethsemane, and we will not go; we say — “No, Lord, I cannot see the meaning of this, it is bitter.” How can we possibly watch with Someone Who is inscrutable? How are we going to understand Jesus sufficiently to watch with Him in His Gethsemane, when we do not know even what His suffering is for? We do not know how to watch with Him; we are only used to the idea of Jesus watching with us.

The disciples loved Jesus Christ to the limit of their natural capacity, but they did not understand what He was after. In the Garden of Gethsemane they slept for their own sorrow, and at the end of three years of the closest intimacy they “all forsook Him and fled.”

“They were all filled with the Holy Ghost” — the same “they,” but something wonderful has happened in between, viz., Our Lord’s Death and Resurrection and Ascension, and the disciples have been invaded by the Holy Spirit. Our Lord had said — “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you,” and this meant that they learned to watch with Him all the rest of their lives.

AMEN! They had received power from on high when they received the Infilling of Holy Spirit! After that, they became as new people! Yet, they still had to press in to know more of JESUS! As YOU continue ti show yourself a student of the Word of God, relying on Holy Spirit as your Teacher, you, too, will be able to operate in that power and Anointing! HE will confirm the Word that YOU speak with signs, wonders and miracles also! Continuing HIS work on the earth, drawing all people unto Himself! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "No Reason To Hide":

Shalom in Him!
