Today I want to look at two different website devotionals that really complement each other! First of all, our Spoken Word Church devotional:
You Can Determine Any Future You Want
You will never leave where you are, until you decide where you would rather be. The day you make a decision about your life is the day your world will change.
Move decisively toward the goals you have established. Intolerance of your present situation creates your future.
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Diligence
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV)
Did you know diligence is a key to obtaining the blessings of God? To be diligent means to approach what you are doing with eagerness, earnestness, and care. Diligence is a matter of the heart, and a diligent heart always produces good:
“In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good” (Ecclesiastes 11:6 NKJV).
Let’s look at what God’s Word has to say about diligence:
“The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor” (Proverbs 12:24 NKJV).
“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has noting; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich” (Proverbs 13:4 NKJV).
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty” (Proverbs 21:5).
Diligence is a prerequisite to seeing your victory. Diligent people always make a steady, consistent effort to accomplish their goals. Diligent people never give up.
Confession: I decide today to always make a steady, consistent effort to accomplish my God-given goals and to never give up. Whatever I do today, I will do it diligently and joyfully as unto the Lord.
AMEN! It is not our labor that causes blessing to come, but our obedience to the Word of God and to Holy Spirit! Diligence, simplified, is really taking what GOD has said is a top priority, and making it MY top priority, too! Holy Spirit will lead every step of the way when WE do OUR part! HALLELUJAH!
