Have you ever been in the presence of a truly joyful person? There are some people who smile in the midst of any and every test, trial and temptation! Guess what? We are ALL to be that way. Of course, each individual personality will present this in a different way, but joy should still be obvious! If we do NOT do this, we WILL be weak! How do I know this? Look at Nehemiah 8:10:
10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. KJV
The joy of the Lord is our strength! Joy is not only a fruit of the Spirit, but the joy of the Lord is also a source of strength for us! Make sure that YOU are stirring up the joy that is inside of you as a born again believer! A good way to do that is to remind yourself every day of all the good things HE has blessed you with! Another good way is to obey the instructions in Psalm 100!
A Psalm of thanksgiving and for the thank offering.
1 MAKE A joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! 3 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.AMEN! THAT is how we can all become people of joy who turn the heads of the hurting so that they know they have someone to turn to for answers! Be ever ready (1 Peter 3:15)! Here, to help you in this, is Hillsong with "This Is How We Overcome":
Shalom in Him!
