The message found in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 is very vital for living as a born again believer in this current world situation!
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (NKJV)
3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,
5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) (AMP)
Notice that our "warfare" is NOT against other human beings, but against the works and workers of darkness! Their only weapon is deceit, but they have very many ways of disguising it as the truth! That is one of the very many reasons we have for meditating on the Word of God continuously. The battle for us actually takes place in our soul, specifically our minds! We must have a mind renewed with the Word in order to properly discern the thoughts and suggestions that come. THEN, we use our mighty, supernatural, spiritual weapons to expose the enemy, identify his thoughts, reject them, and replace them with the Word of God! In THAT is found as sure and certain victory!
