Psalm 125:1-2:
1 THOSE WHO trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands forever. 2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from this time forth and forever.
I found this in the Bible Expository Dictionary: Old Testament:
The writer did not say that God's people should be like Mount Zion but that they are like Mount Zion. We are built upon the solid Rock, Jesus Christ (1 Cor 3:11; 1 Peter 2:4-8). He dwells within us and He surrounds us with His protection and mercy. As people of faith, we shall not be moved (16:8; 21:7; 62:6). Like Paul, we say, "None of these things move me" (Acts 20:24). We have a marvelous standing, for we stand in God's grace (Rom 5:2; Gal 5:1), and we stand by faith (Rom 11:20). We take our stand on the truths of the Word of God (2 Thess 2:15) and stand in the will of God (Col 4:12). It is God who enables us to stand (2 Cor 1:21,24), and because He does, we are able to accomplish the work He wants us to do (1 Cor 15:58). When we begin to trust ourselves or other people, and we bypass the Lord, then we begin to waver, stumble, and fall.
The Temple could NEVER have been destroyed and the city taken IF God's people had kept HIM as their #1 priority, by obeying His Word! The same is true for believers in Jesus of Nazareth! We have the POTENTIAL to never be defeated, IF we do things HIS Way! Choice, choices! I hope you are making the right ones, daily! Here is a picture of where Mount Zion was located and also a picture of the SOLID walls beneath the ground that have never been moved! A SOLID FOUNDATION!
1 Corinthians 14:1-5:
NKJV
Paul is speaking about the best way to operate in a Worship Service. We are going to look at only the parts having to do with our personal prayer language today. Verse 2 tells us that when we pray in the Spirit, we pray spirit to spirit with the One, True God! We pray for things we don't understand, so that we can receive the understanding! How? By allowing the Holy Spirit to give us the interpretation of what we pray: Verses 13-14:
13 Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
NKJV
Verse 17 tells us that in tongues we "give thanks well" and verse 18a:
18 I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;
NKJV
Again, Paul is speaking about his individual, private prayer life! We need to spend more time praying in the Spirit if we want to become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit, understand the Word of God, and be led by the Spirit. How much time do YOU spend praying in your precious heavenly prayer language?
In Joshua 23-24 he reminds and warns the Israelites of the importance of serving the One, True God and obeying His Word. Joshua 23:14-16:
14 And behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. Know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one thing of them has failed.
15 But just as all good things which the Lord promised you have come to you, so will the Lord carry out [His] every [warning of] evil upon you, until He has destroyed you from off this good land which the Lord your God has given you.
16 If you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, if you serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land He has given you. AMP
Joshua 24:31 says this:
31 Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua and of the elders who outlived Joshua and had known all the works the Lord had done for Israel.

They served the LORD while those were still living, but we will see, as we continue in the Bible Reading Plan, just how they get away from the LORD again! But remember that He ALWAYS delivered them when they turned back to Him! That's called repentance. Changing our thinking to agree with God! Make sure your are doing that, too, so you can stay in intimate fellowship with Him!
Shalom in Him!
