In Matthew 23 Jesus, who has been answering questions from the Pharisees, many of them meant to trip Him up, began to speak to the people ABOUT the Pharisees. Then He returns to speaking directly to them again. It's hard to read these verses and not form a picture of Jesus being very angry. We have to remember, though, that EVERYTHING Jesus did was done in and motivated by LOVE!
