Psalm 122:3:
3 Jerusalem, which is built as a city that is compacted together --
The phrase "that is compacted" is the Hebrew word, "chabar", which means: to unite, to bind together, to be joined, to be in league. "Together" is the Hebrew word, "yachad", which is an emphatic word which means: all together, all at once, alike, union, unitedness. We don't really need any other Scripture to understand that to divide the city of Jerusalem would be totally and completely against God's Word! This city is to be totally united and under the rule of the nation of Israel which belongs EMPHATICALLY to the One, True God and the Jewish people! The Jewish people have ALWAYS welcomed other people to live there, but it was meant to be under Jewish rule. God did NOT give this city OR this nation to the Arabs, the Palestinians, the Americans, the British, the Russians or any other group of people! He dispersed His people when they rebelled against Him to preserve the nation, but He never GAVE the nation to any other people! Now that He has called the Jewish people BACK to the land, they are to have control until Messiah JESUS comes again to rule and reign as King! Soon and very soon we will see the first act that will set the ball rolling for the final 7 years! Are YOU ready?
We are probably all familiar with 3 John 2:
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
The KJV says " I wish above all things". The word "above" is the Hebrew word, "peri", which has many meanings, but in this instance means: for, concerning, pertaining to. This is even more powerful a verse than I realized! The Holy Spirit is saying through John that God Himself wants us to prosper in EVERY area of our lives! The word "prosper" is the Hebrew word, "euodoo", whichi means to succeed, to prosper. The dictionary definition of "prosper" is: to cause to succeed or thrive, to be strong and flourishing! Now THAT sounds like MY God! He wants this for EVERY area of my life! Yours, too! And it will happen "even as", or "in proportion to" our souls prospering! How do our souls prosper? By obeying Romans 12:2:
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Very clear instruction, so let's get it done! AMEN!
In Ezekiel 11-12 we see God using Ezekiel to AGAIN warn the people what would happen to them for all of their idolatries! They did NOT listen, as a nation, and were taken into captivity. We know, from accounts in the book of Daniel, that God still operated through those whose hearts were toward Him. But they would stay in captivity for 70 years. Remember that everything that God does is according to His very own time schedule! From the signs He's given us in His Word, it won't be long now! Come quickly LORD JESUS!
