Psalm 123:1 says:
1UNTO YOU do I lift up my eyes, O You Who are enthroned in heaven.
That needs to be our choice, too! We need to keep our eyes fixed in faith on the ONE Who IS the answer! The One Who gave Himself so that we could live and HAVE life! The ONE Who is seated at the right hand of God the Father! Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith! (Hebrews 12:2)
The word "mercy" in verses 2 & 3 is the Hebrew word, "chanan", which means: to be gracious, to show favor. I KNOW that I am God's favorite! You are, too, but do YOU know it? We must mediate on the Word of God in order know and recognize the promises of God!
In 1 Corinthians 12 we see Paul instructing the new believers on how to operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Verse 7 tells us that the gifts are given for our "profit", the Greek word, "sumphero", which means: to be better for, to contribute, to be good for. If God says we need something, we are being pretty prideful to refuse the gifts He has for us! Get into the Word and find out exactly what God has said belongs to us, then go after it!
Joshua 19-20 continues with the distribution of the land to the tribes. Check out maps on Israel in Bible times and Israel now, and you will see that Israel is STILL not possessing all of the land. There are those you would like to stop Israel from being blessed at all costs by demanding that they give up more land. They are pretty chopped up already and look nothing like the original map looks. I pray that Israel will ALWAYS remember that God is on their side! AMEN!
