Shalom,
If there was one message that I feel it is vital for people to really get inside, it would be this: GOD IS GOOD! If you can understand the real, powerful goodness of God, you would have a better understanding of the Bible as a whole, and of why God tells us to do some of the things He tells us in His Word. These Scriptures tell us this:
Psalm 118:1-4, 29
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
The Amplified Bible says this:
Psalm 118:1-4, 29
1 GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!
2 Let Israel now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
3 Let the house of Aaron [the priesthood] now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
4 Let those now who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
"Give thanks" is the Hebrew word yadah, which means to give thanks, to laud or praise, to revere or worship with extended hands. "The Lord" is the Hebrew name Yehovah (Jehovah) which means the Eternal, self-existing One. "Good" is the Hebrew word towb, which means good in the widest sense, excellent, pleasant, agreeable, glad, happy, prosperous, rich, valuable, and more. "His mercy" is the Hebrew word checed, which means favour, good deed, mercy, beauty, goodness, kindness, faithfulness.
When we truly understand the goodness of God, we will be so quick to obey His Word, knowing that His plans for us are only good, all the time!
Have a wonderful day, fully celebrating the goodness of God with all that is within you! You'll be surprised how His Word will come alive to you like never before!
Shalom in Him!
