Shalom,

Proverbs  6:4 is a perfect example to show that you can't just read the Bible, without meditating on it, and know what is being said! Do you REALLY think that the same God Who said "He gives His beloved sleep" (Psalm 127:2) means that we should not give sleep to our eyes? You do not understand the God of the Bible if you think like that! I like the Amplified Bible on this verse:

4 Give not [unnecessary] sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids.

That is referring to sleeping late all the time, not being focused on each day's plan and goal, not being alert and ready. It's talking about NOT being a sluggard! Look at verses 6-10:

6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise!  7 Which, having no chief, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provides her food in the summer and gathers her supplies in the harvest. 9 How long will you sleep, O sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? 10.Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down and sleep 11 So will your poverty come like a robber or one who travels [with slowly but surely approaching steps] and your want like an armed man [making you helpless].

That is NOT the seed I want to sow into my life! How about you?Let's be diligent to be about our fathers business! AMEN!

Revelation 12:1-2:

1 AND A great sign (wonder) -- [warning of future events of ominous significance] appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and with a crownlike garland (tiara) of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and she cried out in her birth pangs, in the anguish of her delivery.

The woman is Israel, and she is about to bring forth, at the set time, the Saviour of the world! Verse 5:

5 And she brought forth a male Child, one Who is destined to shepherd (rule) all the nations with an iron staff (scepter), and her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

This verse shows both the birth of Jesus of Nazareth into the earth AND His ascension into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father AFTER His death, burial, and resurrection! In the next verses we see a retelling of the time when Lucifer and the other fallen angels were cast out of Heaven to the earth. Then we have THIS in verse 10-11:

10 Then I heard a strong (loud) voice in heaven, saying, Now it has come - the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of the brethren, he who keeps bringing before God charges against them day and night, has been cast out! 11 And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing!

Some people still think that satan has access to Heaven but he does NOT! After Jesus cleansed the Holy of Holies in Heaven with His blood (Hebrews 9:11-12) satan no longer has access to Heaven! He  must roam the earth, seeking someone he can dupe into believing his lies. if he has something to say to God, he must shout from the atmosphere and hope God pays attention! GLORY TO GOD!

We won't get into all the symbolism in this chapter, there is too much to cover!  Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you through it and check out a few good concordances or Bible handbooks and you should be able to get a good picture of things! Have fun!

Lamentations 4 tells of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple; and also of the horrendous things that happened to the people who stayed and would not believe the Word of the LORD that had come through Jeremiah. In chapter 5 Jeremiah calls on the LORD to remember them, recalling all that the people and nation had suffered at the hands of the heathen nations because of their disobedience. Verses 19 and 21 are declaration of the greatness of our God and a cry for God's mercy and deliverance.

19 But You, O LORD, remain and reign forever; Your throne endures from generation to [all] generations. 21 Turn us to Yourself, O LORD, and we shall be turned and restored! Renew our days as of old!

God DOES restore and renew the nation of Israel! And He has again restored and renewed them! Jewish people are still arriving from all of the other countries to make their home in the nation of Israel that was reborn in 1948! Soon and very soon the world will KNOW that Jesus of Nazareth IS the Messiah of Israel! Come quickly, Lord Jesus! AMEN!

Shalom in Him!
